Twice this week I have written posts about protectionist provisions that have been written into the stimulus package. In both of the posts I tried to articulate the negative consequences of those provisions. Yesterday, Thomas Friedman did a much better job. His New York Times article addressed the protectionist provisions of the stimulus package and succinctly explained how protectionism is dangerous to America. I guess there is a reason I am not a columnist.
